Dave, if someone says they are a Christian but do not believe, they are not describing themselves accurately.

You mentioned nothing about people describing themselves accurately. You asked how anyone can be a Christian and not believe in God. I answered. You need to define what you mean by christian I believe and if that includes following the christian tenet of attending church on Sunday then, as Raggy has said, only 2% of those who described themselves as christian can be said to be true christians.
