Can't agree, Malcolm: I've always found it easy to do picking patterns, bowing, etc. with my right hand, where a delicate touch is needed, and the walking around and forcing my fingers into reaches on the fretboard or into new chord positions with my left hand. I don't play an instrument that requires bowing any longer, since I lost custody of the upright, but I don't remember having trouble with the bow.I'll give you one point, though: I still can't hold onto a flat pick with my right hand; it just flies off across the room after three or four licks. So I finger pick of necessity.
