Hi all, My name is Dan Diver and I live in Canada. My dad was born in Belfast but unfortunately never made it back before passing. While I was on vacating this month I met a fantastic couple John and Marcella MacDonald in Cuba on their honeymoon. My fiancee (whose relatives are also from Ireland)and I told them of our plans to travel to Ireland for our honeymoon in the near future and we asked about songs to sing while in the pubs. The first one they told us about was "Spancilhill". After searching I was brought to this site and found the original lyrics. It is a beautiful song.
