Once upon a time there was a Youth Hostel - now closed - in the village of Ivinghoe, the wardens being Jim & Jean Chaplin, a wonderful couple. Running the hostel kept them too busy to pursue their folkie interests, beyond organising barn dances on a fairly regular basis. However at some time, a group of hostellers got together to learn longsword dancing and a mummers' play, performing them under the name of the "Ivinghoe Plough Stots".

Are there any ex-hostellers (or indeed current but no longer youthful hostellers) out there who took part in these activities and would be willing to share their memories?
