SRS, yes, when I allocated our dear late friend Edith's hand painted metal wastebasket-- that had once been the kind we all saw growing up next go Teacher's desk-- you'd think since it's under the eaves and dry, right at the base of the mailbox..... but this neighborhood has a different mail carrier about every two weeks-- I finally quit thinking a friendly chat with Speedy Delivery would bring sanity. I use the painted-green trash can with its giant red ladybug to toss all the stuff directed to the last 5 residents, some of whom I know had forwarding orders that were never followed.....

When I can I'll replace the original 1950s small mailbox-- there are hundreds of homes in this 'hood with exactly the same post and box-- with a big, rural-route type mailbox. If I work it right I can just swap the OH and PA boxes-- cuz we bought the one in PA! ;-) That's what I did with the hand-held showers!
