MikeL2, you found an excellent place to start. After sending a few socks to Jon, put the rest of the pairs into a bag and drop it off at the Goodwill or Salvation Army or whatever your local thrift/charity shop is called. Here if you have a lot of stuff for the shop you can arrange to have them send a truck by to pick things up, but that means you keep all of that in the house until you have enough for the truck.

My neighbor met me at Fry's Electronics this morning and we looked at the variety of computers. She likes Win7 but was not unwilling to shift to Win8.1. She saw that her best bet this time is probably a laptop and left with a lovely touch screen 8.1 Asus for just under $600. It's more computer than she'll ever use, but it will do everything she wants. In a couple of days I'll have time to get it set up for her, and she'll be good to go. She said she's been without a computer for 3 weeks and won't die waiting for a couple of more days. I told her I'd have to address it the next day, I am clearly an addict. :)
