Some years back, after listening to a bunch of patriotic jingoism, I came up with "What this country needs is more men with two-fisted guts on their shoulders". Our niece was married to a green beret who was as macho-obsessed as anyone I've met. I tried that on him and he just nodded and said "You got that right".
