More overdue messages to Dear Friends...
gnu...sincere thanks for your lovely post following my 'Jane's Bench' post. Ann & I & the Grandchildren too can, most of the time, talk about Jane/Mum/Mummy without shedding tears...I guess we've made some progress with our grieving. Thrilled to bits to hear about your blood work...great news. Saddened to hear about Rodney's death & alarmed to read your caveat about cell phones. There was a huge debate in the UK some years back about the radiation dangers of the ubiquitous 'mobile'. All the service providers claimed there was no hard, scientific evidence...the Government made it's usual wifty wafty utterances & the usage dangers have drifted off into the ether. One story sticks in my mind...the one about cooking an egg if you placed it between two, active cell phones. Never did get to find out the truth/accuracy of that one...from what you've been saying, maybe there's more than a grain of truth after all.
Janie...no, you haven't missed anything vital about our 'Travelling Twosome'. They are currently in Florida, prior to making their way north, up the east coast to spend some time with Jane's Sister, who lives in Charlotte NC. They fly home from NYC on 1st June. 'Homesick' is a word that has begun to appear in their emails. You said above that you were: "...grateful for your fellowship". I couldn't agree more; the Fellowship of The Rainbow (Fellow...ship!) is something without which my life would be all the poorer.
