I have assayed the tasks around the house to make it look good for company in a few weeks time. Bathrooms and kitchen are at the top of the list, and I think spending time heating and removing old caulking compound in the bathroom at the back of the counter top will give a fresh look (after I clean off the mildew behind each faucet fixture). A trip to Goodwill netted me a couple of attractive soap dishes, a shower caddy (to keep Zeke from eating my bars of soap!) and a couple of decorative vases.
The kitchen counter caulk needs replacing also, and today I also picked up a couple inexpensive oval plates to use for stuff (soap bottles, sponges, scrubber pad) beside the sink. There were old plastic produce trays in use before. 58 cents well spent. :)
