Well I'm not gay and I'm trying to understand why this issue got people's backs up. I think I get it. Gay people have been discriminated against almost forever. They have fought and fought to end this and have made great progress. So why should they let this antediluvian, small-minded bigot make them take a step back? Shut them up and stop them making a fuss? It's so easy for the smug, undiscriminated-against majority to roll their eyes, eh? Here's the thing.
