I had WAY too much fun Friday with my honeh at a local festival that was JUST my size and speed! Took the walker for insta-seating, and clocked about a mile in about two hours of music, he althy food, people watching, photography, and a little romance. At the top of the bridge I just HAD to explore, my hip muscles (chronicall weakest) clanged a final warning that they were DONE, so we took turns pushing each other back down the bridge ramp towards the car for a little muscle recovery, laffing all the way. It was a great day for learning as a couple what I can really do this summer, and it was the first activity from the "Honey Let's Go" folder whicht resulted from a mailing of ad papers I went thru Thursday afternoon while he was stuck at a meeting.

Once again we learned the hard way: how fast a little hill climb can use up the muscles-- just like a scooter battery-- so future expeditions will mean any hilly parts go LAST, and preferably towards the car!

Only needful item I hadn't packed: 1 hair tie. The walker basketry easily held everything else needed. What a great night's sleep I got! Next venue needs wider paths so we can walk side by side. Probably a bike path, so I can also calibrate the pedometer that is so far not making useful data. Faulkner will come, since his sore back and mine need about the same amount of walking.
