I was musing on the delights of Marian's voice and recalled that when I was trying to learn the guitar, back in Perth, WA in the very early 70s, I chose to take her "Moon and Mice" composition to learn.
My tutor (a Mason Williams "Classical Gas" type exponent), could not understand how I could expect to run before I could walk.
He was trying to interest me in the dross of "Skip to My Lou" whilst I desired only the haunting magical qualities in Marian's singing and playing of this song!! (I didn't really understand the lyrics but I craved its wondrous beauty!)

As far as I know, it only appeared on the 1972 Compilation folk LP "3 Floors Down" from Sydney (was it recorded at PACT??), being hawked at my local folk club at the time. I still cling to my copy - though it is selling on EBay for $50AU I believe! Has Declan Affley doing a great "Island in the River" too, and many other tidbits.
