Last week I made an appointment for a home energy audit through a regional energy delivery company (they work with all of the various companies - but are the way the power actually reaches the house). They came over today and now the windows have a rubberized strip in place to lower the air leaks, and more importantly, they put weatherstripping around the front and side doors, and I can feel the difference there already. They also sealed the air handlers on each air pump. All of this after they covered the vents, seeled the intakes, and ran a fan to "pressurize" the house to find the leaks. My electric bill has been pretty reasonable since I switched from the big electric provider (kind of the default company, with all of their high rates and fees and charges). Now it should be even better.

The dog hair around here is astonishing. I need to brush the dogs and vacuum the house. I wish I could vacuum the dogs. . .
