Day two of the rental car, and a diagnosis from Aamco: the seals on some lines on either side of the transmission are leaking. Not technically "in" the transmission, but usually covered under warranty. He has to call the shop in Odessa to get their approval, though. Great. Either way, it needs fixing.

This morning I spent a few minutes to start painting the trim in the bathroom. This way when I get home I'll have the visual reminder and can be sure when the paint dries it looks the way I want. Guests arrive on Friday so I need to finish and let the paint smell vanish. The bathroom floor will get tiled soon, but not until these friends leave.

Warm and sunny summer weather finally. I'll be able replant in the veggie garden soon, but I'm giving it a little more time to dry out and I'll add compost and soil amendments since there may well have been some leaching out of nutrients.
