If you can get a copy of Norman Buchan's '101 Scottish Songs'- the wee red book (not Mao's version) you'll find this song and the basic music.
As stated earlier it was indeed by that great Fifer, Dunfermline Athletic fan singer and raconteur, John Watt, and the book gives 1960 as the year it was written.
