Thread Name: ADD: Johnny Lovely Johnny / High Walls of Derry
Subject: RE: lyr.req. Johnny Lovely Johnny
harpgirl, sorry I tore up the place looking & can't come up with it, maybe someone else will jump in, hopefully. I do recall a bit more after trying to drag it up from my memory.

Annie, lovely Annie, it was all just in jest
I never intended tomake you my best
I never intended to make you my wife
O Annie lovely Annie, all the days of my life

A bunch of blue ribbons I will (tie up & wear?)
A wreath of forget me nots (I'll tie in my hair?)
And if ever he returns again I will.........?
And I'll kiss the (sweet?) lips of my own Johnny boy

harpgirl this is as close, & it may not be all that close, as I can get at the moment. I think Dolores Keene (sp?) did this with her then husband John Faulkner, but I haven't a clue on what. Good Luck. Barry
