I think Garrison's voice is quite effective when he's singing his parodies, leading singalongs or singing bass in the Hopeful Gospel Quartet but I do get a bit frustrated when he does duets with fine singers like Emmylou Harris, Aiofe O'Donavan, Suzy Boguss etc. For me it can and usually does queer a potentially sublime performance. But it's his show and he's given us so much thay it's easy to overlook his indulgence.
