I have a version of Mary Hamilton playing as background noise at my website's Songlist.

I have never been in a situation where there were "Way Too Many Lelands". Indeed, until I got to AA at age 30, I had never met another person with the first name Leland; in AA I've met three. (Plus now I go to a church where it's a family name in one of the pillar families, so there are three Leland Munsons in the church directory, though only one actually attends. We enjoy saying "Hello, Leland." "Why, hello, Leland" to each other.) Parenthetically, "Leland" is an old Baptist name; probably that's why my Baptist parents named me so.

Never have met another Leland Ross, though. However, when I was in first grade there was a kid in second grade whose name was Ross Leland, and he was constantly getting in trouble and the school kept sending his poor work slips and disciplinary notices to my parents. That was a pain.

Sorry to wander off the Marys, but I just had a hunch a similar thread for Lelands (much less Lilands) might never eventuate.
