The song you are referring to is called "Gens du Pays". It was co-opted as an anthem by nationalist Québécois and is considered as exclusionary by those who are not "de souche" and "pure laine" Québécois.

The Oh Canada, linked to above, is an alternate version to the national anthem of Canada written from the perspective of an indigenous Canadian and performed by it's author the late Willie Dunn.
