I seem to remember the phrase "The only good injun....." from the old cowboy films of my youth, the media was indoctrinating us even then.

Of course the "Indians" were shown using barbaric cruelty, murder and rape of white women, the killing of children and the scalping of victims.....which at the time demonised the race.

I am sure these barbarities did happen, but we as children were quite unaware of the political and social implications of white colonisation.
