Sneak over and dig a small hole in his lawn. Make the hole about a foot deep. In it place sharpened stakes of fire-hardened wood. Camouflage the top. Don't leave fingerprints or footprints and discretely splashing a little gasoline around will help prevent a police dog from following your scent.

Better yet, if you can get to his lawnmower you could use superglue or epoxy in some strategic places -- the gas line is good, as is the carburetor or the control cables. Best of all is using that stuff in the ignition lock of a riding mower...or motorcycle, or....
