Ballad of Walter 'Bwana' Palmer lion slayer and dentist

My name is Walter Palmer
And honest, I won't harm yer
I'm a dentist from Minnesota
I won't trouble you , not one iota

Chorus
Cos I am a simple dental driller
Who's an animal serial killer
I love bears and lions and buffalo
I shoot 'em down and laugh ho! Ho! Ho!

When I'm scraping your teeth and rubbing off plaque
I'm thinking what beast I'd like to attack
Perhaps a little mole, or a big giraffe
Its great to shoot things for a laugh

And now we get to that lion, Cecil
You expect me to with conscience wrestle
They call me Bwana on the hunt
Which is AfriKan you know for.....mighty warrior!

But what compensation , do you prose is
For a lifetime breathing in your halitosis
Pulling out molars, bloody great fangs
So watch out wildlife! Bang! Bang! Bang!

not sure there is actually what you;'d call a tune. Use it as thou wilt, change the words - hell its the folk process. not all us songwriters are the avaricious bastards Jim Carroll seems to think we are. I definitely start the verse on the chord C and the chorus on the chord F. the ho ho ho bit seems to suggest a classic C through Em to Am descent and that generally ends in D7 and G and bck to C - always try and end up on the one one which you start in folk musio! But hey, you sing what you want!

Thamks for your interest! Gargoyle pick any sort of format and I'll e -mail it to you!
