The Irish Traditional Music Archive's collection of interactive music scores has now reached the grand total of 6,000 scores. To bring together this huge body of scores in one convenient place and to add various enhancements which will enable exploration and analysis, we are pleased to launch an experimental beta version of a new interactive scores microsite Port (a word in Irish which we are using in the sense of 'a tune or air, sung or played'). It can be accessed here http://port.itma.ie/welcome At first Port will operate best on the major web browsers, and user feedback is requested for problems and possible improvements. Additional functionality is planned to come into operation over the next few months.
