I took my hummingbird feeder down after a few weeks early in summer because there were no takers. A neighbor 2 doors down has plenty of hummingbirds coming to her feeders. She also has many pots of colorful flowers in her porch. In contrast, the only plants I have in my yard that draw hummers are the azaleas, and they often are nearly finished blooming by the time the hummers arrive.

Hope springs eternal, however. Have spotted a couple of hummers casting about in the yard over the past couple of weeks, so put the feeder back up yesterday.
