When he came to the river
His feet had froze
When he came to the river
Before his eyes the raging flood arose
So Bear just stood there
Shaking his head
The path behind him
Was thick with ice
The flood before him
Could be crossed but would demand a price
So Bear just stood there
Watching instead
His life spun before him
All the things he had done
But standing by the foreign flood
It was as if he hand't done a-one
So Bear just stood there
Shaking his head

He knew his hunger
He knew his thirst
But to get beyond the river
He knew that he would have to cross it first
So Bear stepped forward
