I've just come across this site. I was looking for Ted Comben. Just a note to confirm that Chuck & Ted (Old Father Ted) are the same person. Sorry, that should have been were. I met him a few times after leaving Singapore. For a while he lived in Medmenham then after a few adventures, he ended up in the Southampton area. His son had a chandlers shop in Majorca (I think that was the island) but was doing so well he was considering retiring for the second time.
I'm very sad to learn that he has died. Johnny Collins also dead. That just leaves me & (Big) Mac (John McAuslen) from the 'Folk Four' of the Anopheles Inn. We must be getting old ;-)
