Thread Name: Nightnoise - Irish Folk Group
Subject: Nightnoise - Irish Folk Group
I have only one CD by Irish folk group, Nightnoise called,
"The Parting Tide" from 1990 released on Windham Hill Records.

I love the voice of Triona but there are only two songs with vocals on this CD, which are "Island of Hope and Tears" and "Snow is Lightly Falling." The other seven songs are instrumentals. Though they are also lovely songs, I do prefer more vocals on an album.

Someone gave me this CD a long time ago and I am not that familiar with Nightnoise. I wanted to ask if anyone knows of their other albums that have majority of songs with vocals (with Triona singing but not acapella.)

Perhaps this group does mostly instrumentals - which is fine, as they are a very talented group, but I just prefer to hear more vocals especially when I really like the voice of the singer as I do with Triona.

I looked at one web site of their albums but could not tell how many were vocals by Triona and not acapella. (spelling?) :-)

Thank you.
