Saw him at Bristol University Union Folk Club, November 1965 - beginning of my 1st year. He was an inspiration - songs, delivery and guitar playing! Nice guy, and passionate about what was right and what was wrong with the world. I often wondered if the CIA/FBI had a hand in the tragedy of his decline and eventual suicide at the age of 35. The 'Establishment' certainly wouldn't have been sorry to see the back of him.
