Gie in Scots means GIVE. However, ay and ie sounds are also very similar in Scots as my poor Scottish mother used to find when spelling her name out, which began with an A - 9 times out of ten people would write E!
As for "guy" - that might just be "gey" - but usually used as an adverb meaning very - as in "that wis gey guid".
