Am not sure that the CW verses of "Johnson Boys" much predate the recording.

And "Dixie Division" really has nothing to do with the Civil War. It was composed in honor of the Thirty-First Infantry Division, made up of National Guard units from Alabama, Georgia, and Florida during World War I.

There was no "Dixie Division" during the Civil War. Confederate divisions were named for their commanding general.

What, no "Marching through Georgia"? No "Aura Lea?"

Can't have everything, I guess.
