Sorcha e-mailed me the file, and it was a shortcut - specifically a .lnk file.

I got the same error message Sorcha did when I dried to drag the link to the Mid2tex icon.

So the problem is that Mid2tex can't convert shortcut/link files into text, it can only convert midis.

I tried to explain how to save the file as a .mid.
(Go to "save as," go to the "file type" box and select .mid)

I don't have the program in question, so I don't know exactly what it looks like.

I also think I'm having a problem finding a way to explain how to do the above so Sorcha can understand it - either that, or I'm wrong.

If anyone else can help her, please do. I don't know what else to try.
