Well I don't know who these people are who don't believe in God. Not me for a start. I don't know whether there's a God or not. Belief don't come into it this end, one way or the other. Now you claim that God and science can't be in inflict. Well God relies on sheer faith. Science is predicated on evidence, reason and progressive open-mindedness. The potential for conflict is huge, and, because of the history of religion's opposing science for centuries and the current trend for misinformed accommodation with science, the potential is realised.
