My new copy of An American Christmas Harp has the Sacred Harp "Hither ye faithful" first verse, but has a second verse (all attributed to J.F. Wade) which I haven't seen on this thread:

O Jesus for such wondrous condescension,
Our praises and rev'rence are an off'ring meet;
Now is the Word made flesh and dwells among us;
O come and let us worship, (3x)
at his feet.
