Here's more on the "jam on the North Shore of Lake Ponchatrain on Tuesday's"

"The Northshore Country Dance & Song Society is a nonprofit organization founded in Slidell, Louisiana in 1999. We enjoy playing and listening to traditional European and American folk music in all its variety, and hope to see the appreciation of folk traditions continue through the years. Each year, we sponsor a variety of special events, including jam sessions, contra dances, concerts, and children's programs. All events are open to the public, and all ages are welcome! Do you enjoy playing or listening to American & European folk music, including Celtic, bluegrass, old-time, Cajun, country and a touch of miscellaney? Come to a weekly acoustic jam session Tuesday evenings at 7:30 at Coffee Online, 1925 Second Street, Slidell, LA, (504)781-4600."
