Scotland revealed was a series a few years ago it captured my wonderful land.

I remember many years ago some cousins came from Utah to visit we were commenting on the beauty of their country and its largeness. One of the girls admitted they did have wonderful places but would often have to travel for a long time to get a change of scene. She said it was the thing she loved most about Scotland that you could travel a couple of hours and have traversed several different types of landscape.

In Glasgow which back in my fathers youth was a smoky dirty industrial city you got a bus or jumped on your bike on a Friday night and a short time later you were sitting outside your tent by a lochside (lake) enjoying supper ready to walk valleys or mountains the next morning.
