Hi Lin I think you are probably right. We bought the gurdy in Dublin and were able to bring it down to our place in South west Ireland in the car. Don't know if I would trust it to shippers!! we were told that there are only 6 gurdys in Ireland and Marie has 2 of them.When she plays, I normally accompany her on the Northumbrian smallpipes, and they sound great together.
