Her feeling... one that *I* expressed months ago... is that he never really expected to get this far, and doesn't 'really' want the detail and limitations and responsibility that come with actually having to get up every morning and BE president. Running as an independent is one almost sure way to NOT be elected... but to keep getting noticed.
