The date has passed but the event hasn't - we're celebrating on Sunday when all of the immediate family will be present. They have travelled long distances this year to be here, but need a little time to get over jet lag and adjust to the time zone.

A big bag of recycling to the village bins, a trip to the store for that fresh turkey, and more puttering in other rooms because for once the living room looks pretty good and doesn't have a big station for crafts in play (aka the dining room table). I'm going to shift the dog beds and the big chair one of the dogs calls his own to the front room and see if they'll accept the reassignment. At least for the next couple of days, when I don't want to be tripping over all of the dog accouterments to and from the dining table.

Laundry in (because it IS Saturday!) and it's warm and muggy outside for now. Maybe I'll push the mower out for a quick trim of the winter grass in the front lawn.
