The original film (called episode 4, and renamed A New Hope), followed by 5, The Empire Strikes Back, and then 6, Return of the Jedi. They make sense since the current film is intended sequentially after these three. The "prequel" films (Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith) were dismissed recently by film reviewer Bob Mondello, and having read a few reviews when they came out I've never felt inclined to watch them.
