Pete's expression "stubbornly atheist" is worthy of further contemplation. In view of the overwhelming evidence against the supernatural, I'd have thought that "stubbornly religious" would be the better way round. I've never regarded myself as stubborn in this context. After all, as I keep bleating, I don't know whether there's a God or not. I'm just waiting for some evidence, that's all.
