Well, having been born and raised until age 10 in Bishops Stortford (hometown of Cecil Rhodes) I would like to say that I think he was a real bastard. That said, removing statues of people we don't like would mean that no statue would exist anywhere. Let them stand but remember what they did and judge for yourself.

Here in the US we have statues of some great people and some not so great depending on which side of the political spectrum you happen to be on. Far be it from me to tell anyone how they should think, but I don't think we are going to see a statue of George Bush, Sarah Palin or Donald Trump anytime soon.
