The version I am looking for begins


   Last night ,I sat dreaming all of a summers day
And watched the white sails go driftin' across the bay
There came to my open window a sailor bold
And soft in my ear he whispered loves tale of old
.........
Oh how dear was to me
That young sailor so free
Laughing and joyous
None was so gay as he.         thats all I can remember can someone fill in the gaps.
