BillD - I get where you're coming from. I didn't have an awful lot of choice, my old XP machine was giving up the ghost, and my new one came with 8.1 pre-installed. Didn't particularly like 8.1 which felt clunky so, once the initial Win 10 hoo-ha was over, I decided to go with it. I use my PC for music, recording, photos, email and shooting my mouth off on a few forums, no 'business' use. I use good internet security and my bank provides additional security software to help prevent keyloggers and other spyware and malware, so I'm comfortable that I'm as safe as I can make myself.

But, of course, one must do whatever feels comfortable.
