But knowing where every pop and click was going to come on my favourite records, especially the repeating ones, not to speak of the wow and/or rumble caused by my sloppy belt or a warped disc or a hole not in the middle (I once had an LP of music conducted by Beecham that swayed crazily from side to side as well as up and down) didn't exactly enhance my listening pleasure.
