Subject: RE: 'Hamish' at Glasgow Film Festival
I thought the film was great. I felt there could have been more about Hamish's legendary 'flyting' with Hugh MacDiarmid - that was sort of skimmed over, and to me that ideological dispute is a very interesting part of the whole story (but maybe not to everybody) - but otherwise it was very enjoyable. Moving too. Regarding screening in England, I recommended it to a friend who works at a cinema in Bristol who expressed an interest. Otherwise I think that BBC Alba (where it'll apparently be screened in the autumn) should be available in England, on iPlayer or something like that.
