The orig recorded song by me ( l call ) is " Goin Down To Lynchburg" [..'gonna bring my banjo round' .., (kudos to Grandpa Jones ).] which contains the verse about ...' Scrubbin in tha tub..... harder she would rub../scrub "...Etc . But some one has added more ( trad' ) verses to my ,our, ( this ) version , which was originally rec by "Richard & Jim" ( l m Jim, he is Richard Lockmiller; both H.S. buddies from Gadsden (Ala) Hi Sch.-- pickin together since c. 1954 professionally) on Folklore Rec s of London U K, in 1962 entitled ' Richard&Jim ,Sing American Folksongs" F-LEUT/5, prod. By Tom Costner; recorded by Don Sollash & Doug Dobell @ Dobell Jazz Record Shop studio, in London--77Charing Cross rd. WC2;   

Bio-info' Notes on the LP by Dick (Richard) Farina and Carolyn Hester. LP contains 14 tunes , of which " Goin'...Lynchburg" is one.

Note: front cover of album actually , only, reads " R & J" and shows ' Richard & Jim' leaning against a Paris ,France Metro subway railing; Jim holding a vintage ( c. 1870's) Dobson 5-St Banjo and Richard playing a 1941 000-41 cf Martin 6-Str flatop BrazillianRosewood guitar.
