Probably not a lot of help but you can use the Word clone in Works to prep the text content of the slides(heading and bullet lists and paste in images) at 1 slide per page.

Save this file and when your daughter gets to use the school copy, she opens up Powerpoint selects a pretty background from the available styles and imports the Works file. This should generate an instant slide show.

My own sprog uses Microsoft Publisher for all her school presentation work. so If thats on your "I never saw it" disk load that up too if you have room. In fact if you get Office you should dump Works altogether.
