To each, Gen. Robert E Lee and Dr. Martin Luther King, I wish a grand birthday.

Both had a profound effect on me, and on society in general.

Different ideologies, to say the least; yet, I believe they were both honorable men who stood for their beliefs.

Tupelo,Ms has the Martin Luther King Memorial Highway and Robert E. Lee Drive. I prefer to believe that these streets were named to respect these two men, rather than to appease two different groups.
