Well put, Rap. I think it is perfectly reasonable to observe an activity such as surfing, study it carefully so as to determine its basic usefulness and appeal, and then say, "No thanks." I have done that with a great many things in my life, and I would wager that others can say the same. I don't regret it one bit.

I know you probably possess the ability to easily talk the paint off a wall, a post out of the ground, and a river into reversing its normal course and flowing uphill, but what we need to do is to establish in what direction you are turning these immense powers, and with what final purpose in mind?
