Yes, I think you are right that it is a product from China and distributed to discount type stores only. They have other eyeliners and mascara's at this store (different from the ones I am looking for) that are unknown brand names that are from China.
I don't like them as well as the ones I am looking for though with cat paws on the outside of the tube.
The owners of the store are Chinese I believe.
Seems like only these discount stores carry many of these "unknown brands." I will try looking up "no name eyeliner"
